This Is Not a Court or Government Office. This independently operated reference resource cannot retrieve an official docket, alter a setting, seal or remove a case, issue a certified copy, or provide legal advice. Those requests must be made directly to the responsible clerk or court.
Need an Official Docket or Record?
Use these Smith County routes for the most common official requests:
- A docket sheet: run a case search through the statewide portal, or request the docket from the clerk of court
- A court date or setting: check the court calendar, or confirm the setting with the clerk of court
- Certified copies: order from the clerk of court, who is the keeper of the docket and the official record
- A specific case: look it up with a case search by party name or case number
- Court records and case files: see court records, or contact the clerk of the court that heard the case
For District Court records, contact the Smith County District Clerk, 100 N Broadway Ave, Room 204, Tyler, TX 75702, 903-590-1660, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. County Court misdemeanor, civil, and probate requests may instead belong to the County Clerk at the Courthouse Annex; confirm the division before visiting.
